Winter Village

The boys and I had fun setting up our winter village. Since we have no winter here this is snow for our season. The kiddos love the animated ice skating rink, it includes music and motion. I really enjoy it too!!:)

What I am most Thankful for........

1. Knowing and loving Truth!

2. My wonderful husband, who is all I could have imagined and more!

3. Our 2 precious, healthy boys,

4. My parents and extended family,

5. and Wonderful friends!!

I hope you are having a wonderful Thanksgiving season and wish for the same this next year!!

Caramel Apples!!

Today the boys and I made caramel apples, with different toppings. The boys picked the sprinkles, could you guess. ;) They turned out great!....... except the caramel and toppings keep sagging to the bottom. I am going to have to perfect them before we make them the next time. Maybe you more savy cooks could give me some tips. :) Help!!

Hilarious Turkey video!!!

The boys absolutely love this video, thought maybe a few of you would enjoy a laugh, too.

Our little Indian!

Lane's preschool class put on a Thanksgiving program, singing several songs and doing several finger plays. So sweet to hear 37 four and five year olds singing so gleefully!!! Only one cried through the whole program. The children drew form a basket to determine if they would be an Indian or Pilgrim. They made their costumes .........and even cut out the programs!!!
Each of the children made an Indian corn pin for their mothers, which they had us wear at the program. They also made fabric pumpkins using a roll of toilet paper. Cute Idea!!

Lane has continued to want to wear his Indian head dress even at home.

Lane is directly in the center.

Beautiful Colors of Fall!!

I know our colors can't compete with those up north, but for warm and humid Louisiana they sure are pretty this year!!!
I was just playing with my camera settings and got a great shot...... You can see it's velvety texture it is so intense!
Our pot of kale and pansies is liking the cooler temps, but we really need rain to make them really grow!!

This is the dogwood tree outside our bedrom, it's colors are always so beautiful!

Riding on the New Driveway

We finally got a new driveway put down this week. The boys have been so anxious to ride their bikes and trikes on it. It helps to add a finished look to the front of the house. It is wider than before and will make it easier when we have mtg. here.

Picture Time

It was a great cool day this a.m. so we quickly took a few pictures for our holiday card. The boys actually had fun, but were ready to get out of their sweaters and get dirty!! This is my first time using smilebox so I hope it works!!:)

The new sandbox!

Happy Birthday , Jay!! We celebrated with banana pudding today after mtg., that was his request.
The boys enjoyed playing in the sandbox under the swingset this weekend. We bought four bags of sand and that barely covered the dirt. We'll have to go back for more this week.
Lane told me Friday that he thinks we should call the treehouse a "clubhouse", so that it is. He painted a red "x" on paper yesterday and took a magnet off the fridge and headed outside. Later I went to see what that was all about. He had hung the "x" at the top of the ladder into the clubhouse with the magnet on the metal bracket. I asked him, what that meant, he said no other people were allowed in there. I was just amazed that he would think of this and then to use a magnet on the metal. That is far beyond me. Made me smile!!!
