St. Pete's Beach

Our last few days we spent on the beach enjoying the Florida sun and sand and enjoying more time with Jeremy, Lisa, and Grant. The boys didn't like the salt water the first day and had to get used to the waves rushing in. By the second day, they ran right in the water and played their hearts out. I enjoyed helping the boys build a sand castle and searching for shells with Lisa. Grant is a little beach bum....he loves the sand and if the boys headed towards the water he was crawling right behind!!:) I have so many more pictures, it was so hard to choose just a few! As you know pictures just don't do justice to the memories we made!!
The classic picture of the boys playing in the sand.

Wide-eyed Grant in his shirt from Disney!!

Gettin' sugar from sweet little Grant in their matching shirts!!

This boy just needs a drink!!

Shells

Love this picture of the boys with the seagull flying overhead.

Love that Lisa and the boys are in the background of this seagull shot!! I didn't realize they were even in the picture until I loaded it on my computer.

Chasing Grant in his pool.....he was just a giggling!!

Our evening with Cheryl, Emily, and Sarah H. at Siesta Key. We sure missed seeing John!!

Drum circle at sunset on the beach....very interesting!! Everything from drums to dancing, even a lady balancing a sword on her head! Some very unusual sights!!

Emily standing with Grant in the water.

Sunset

Bryce and Emily playing at sunset.

Smiling faces with their sea urchins!!

As we left we saw this face a girl had sculpted in the sand, we saw more sculptures as we were leaving. The sand was just perfect for it!

Thursday Night Supper Day 6

Thursday evening after returning from Disney, we had supper at Mike and Becky H.'s with Jeremy, Lisa, and Grant. What a fun evening rememberng and laughing about the years we lived in Florida....the boys had a great time playing with Mike and Becky's toy stash! The adults enjoyed watching them!!
Oh so silly!! Funny the things that make kids laugh...a paint brush!!

Our wonderful hosts, Becky and Mike H.! Thanks for wonderful food and great company!

Lisa, Grant, Jeremy, Lane, Jay, Bryce and I after supper.

Riding the bucking bronco, Uncle Jeremy!!

The boys got out the toys after supper and then swept before we left...Grant was helping with the dust pan.

Sweet little musketeers reading together.

Disney/ Fort Wilderness Day 4-6

What a truly MAGICAL place! The Campgrounds are the best of course......you could just spend a week at Fort Wilderness and never go to any of the parks. They have organized crafts for the kids, pool games, sports, horseback riding, canoeing, camp fire sing-a-longs, movies at dark, etc, etc. We didn't even begin to see or do it all!! We rented a golf dart to get around.....you had to walk just about everywhere and after being at the park each day we had had enough of that!! The Magic Kingdom was as "Great" as I remember it as a kid, maybe even better watching our kiddos enjoy it!!:) Lane's favorites were Space Mountain and Splash Mountain. Bryce's favorites were Peter Pan and Tomorrowland Rockets. Mommy and Daddy really enjoyed Monsters Inc. and Thunder Mountain!! Lots of memories were made!!

Headed out to catch the ferry!!

The river behind us where we could watch the canoes and kayaks go by and the boys feed the fish, too.

Our little quiet campsite by the river!

The beach and dock where we caught the boat each day to the Magic Kingdom and where we could watch the Fireworks from Disney each night.
Our mode of transportation around Fort Wilderness.

The campfire sing-a-long with Chip and Dale....The Chipmunks!!!

The celebration as the park opened that morning!!! With
Mickey confetti and all!!! After all, Disney always makes it magical!!

The castle, which the boys would not stand in front of....it is only for princesses!!

Mommy and Bryce....a little too dark.

Lane and Daddy

Notice in the center of the picture you can see Lane and Jay's heads as the ride Dumbo. I thought this was an awesome shot with the castle in the background!!!

The Most Famous Ride of All....

The Swiss Family Robinson Tree House

Lane at the wheel of the Indy 500 cars!! Wild driver!!

Mickey's House(we did not dare go into Minnie's house.... yuck...a girl!!!)

Splash Mountain
Lane's favorite ride ...... along with Space Mountain.

Train Station lit up for the Spectro Magic Parade!! WOW!! was all I could say after the parade!! Sorry, the pictures just didn't turn out very good especially when everything was moving!:(
