Questions about God?

Bryce has been asking a lot of questions about God and what he does. Last night in the middle of the night he called me to his room and asked, " Mom, why does God make it rain?". I quietly told him that God made it rain because the trees and plants needed a drink just like us. He quickly responded with this question, "They get thirsty too, Mommy?". Yes, I told him. He quietly laid back down, I guess he was satisfied with the answer.
A few months ago, I woke him up early on a school morning, he was not happy at all. He said it wasn't time to get up because the sun was not awake yet. You have to understand that his way of knowing when to get up is determined by the sun and when it shines in his window. Once I got him dressed and downstairs, he cried out and said " I want to talk to God!!". I asked him why he wanted to do that. He said, "God will understand me and fix it!". So precious to hear their deep thoughts and understand that God is powerful and understanding. I guess that is why Jesus said " Except you become as a little child, you can not enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.". They sure have been good lessons for Jay and I.

That's so sweet. It's amazing how much they hear & understand! Sometimes after meeting we ask Brett what he heard & it's surprising. Lately he's been telling us what he thinks "the plan" for the night should be & has been asking for a chapter from the Bible to be included in the routine before bed.

How sweet is that! Oh to have the innocence and faith of a child.
