Haircuts and Hives....

How do the two go together??? Let me explain. :)

I was closely monitoring the boys last night as they were using the Fiskar scissors and paper. I stepped out to throw in a load of laundry and when I came back in, Bryce was holding a handful of his HAIR!!!!! Aghhhhh!! I would post a picture, but he did a really good job and you really can't see where he cut.... phew!! Thank goodness... this is the first time either of the boys have cut their hair. It doesn't surprise me that it was Bryce first. So that was last night..... this morning, I woke Bryce about 6:30 to get ready for school and suddenly realize that an eye is half swollen shut, his face has red, raised and warm splotches, and his ears have red specks all over them. I called my brother( the Doc.) and said " Benedryl and the E.R. or just watch and see?". He said, benedryl and see the doctor this a.m.. After a dose of benedryl, the redness and speckles are gone, but his face is still puffy and splotchy. Why?... I have not the faintest, I hope our doctor can figure out why at 10:30 this a.m. He is fussy and irritable, so I know it's not over yet.

I am beginning to get gray quick(honestly)!! Lane has been a fairly easy, predictable kiddo, Bryce on the other hand.... where do I begin?! He has add the spice to our lives and I am every so thankful for that!:0 He can make me laugh when I should be ringing his neck and the next minute lay a BIG kiss on your cheek!!! Kids are so different. I should know that as teacher, but when they are your own, you see a different perspective! Parenthood is an unpredictable, yet awesome experience. That's why my parents say to me now, raising small children is for when your young and able. Each day brings the *precious moments* that can never be repeated and then some you want to forget, quick!! Have a great weekend everyone:)

Be glad it was a scissors! Jarin did the same last year, but with Daddy's electric razor! Needless to say, we had to march right down to the salon for a buzz cut! Sorry to hear about the hives...hope he's on the mend soon!
