We are now officially in business. Jay made a small dirt track with the box blade so the yard doesn't get worn down making laps with the go-cart. Jeff Foxworthy could add a new one to his list: You might be a "red-neck" if you have a dirt track in your back yard! Ha! It sure is fun though! I even took a go at it myself!

Fun weekend
We had a wonderful, relaxing weekend with our great friends, Kristen and family! Check out her site for more pictures form the weekend! The weather was fairly nice, minus the crazy wind, but it sure didn't keep us from enjoying one another. The new go-cart was a "hit" with big and small!! Thanks for coming friends!

Go-cart!
Jay bought the boys a used 150 CC go-cart from a friend at work this week! After a little work and tuning up, it is running like a charm! They were making laps tonight around the house wearing down a path! Daddy is going to be driving this for awhile yet, just a tad too much power for the boys. They sure loved being the passenger and just riding along! I am not sure who likes it more, the boys or daddy?

Look what I found!
All was quiet downstairs, where was Bryce? This is what I found! He was highly entertained playing the computer and eating from the GINORMOUS box of goldfish!! What more could a boy need..... I thought it was too cute to pass up a photo opportunity! He is getting so tall, this picture sure shows just how big he is getting! In just over 2 months he will be 6, where has my baby gone? sniff sniff

A batter, batter!!
We have a ball player on our hands! ( No pun intended :-)) I went and watched Lane's practice this morning and he hit his first ball( and several others) out of the pitching machine, even got to run the bases! So proud of him! I can tell I am going to be the loudest momma yelling for the boys! I just can't help it! It makes the game so much more fun for me and hopefully them!

Feathered friend
We have enjoyed watching this Redheaded Woodpecker for several days now. He is eating the berries left on the tree outside our bedroom window. Our dog, Buster, has even been fascinated by him standing down below watching him. He isn't pounding any holes, just enjoying the berries. He hangs on upside down and shakes the berries until the pop off. It seems an unusual position for this type of bird!

Rat Race!
We are still kickin', just living a fun, full life! Here are just a few things we have been doing the past three weeks.
* Three special mtgs. & company~ such wonderful messages of encourgement!
* New bunkbed for the boys~ It is working like magic for Bryce...no more bad dreams and sleeping through thunder and lightening!!
* My birthday! A wonderful weekend with my parents here. Copeland's Cheesecake Bistro was so scrumptious! My new favorite place! ( Thanks Mom and Dad for the special treat!)
* Festival piano competition for Lane~ scoring a SUPERIOR +! We are so proud of him!!
* Baseball evaluations/practice~ both of the boys are playing baseball for the first time in Little League.
* A pitching machine on the way for the boys~40 mph balls are harder to hit than you realize after dad's slow pitching!
* Planting in the garden: With potatoes already in the ground, we will soon be able to plant corn and tomatoes. Summer vegetables are like nothing you can get in the store!! Yum!
Just two weeks until Spring Break! Looking forward to that!
